The Local Organising Committee for the 2011 ASM Annual Scientific Meeting would like to thank everyone who attended the Meeting and made it such a success.
Thank you to the Plenary and Keynote speakers, sponsors and exhibitors for giving their time and support so generously to make ASM 2011 an interesting and engaging Meeting. Thanks also, to the delegates and abstract authors who took the time to travel to Hobart and share their knowledge and expertise with others.
The theme of the Conference was "Microbiology on the Edge", and it brought to Hobart world-leading scientists who presented their current research on diverse microbiology topics. The programme encompassed the latest developments in food microbiology, medical microbiology, molecular microbiology, virology, emerging zoonoses, and marine microbiology.
